This place, looking inconspicuous from the outside, is the best tapas bar I’ve ever been to. In Méli Mélo, however, you won’t find traditional tapas like those tried byAnka during her last visit to Barcelona (read about it HERE). It’s more modern and creative approach.

Being in Zaragoza for the first time, I came across this place by accident and glory this chance! Since then, I always recommend it to my friends who are travelling there, and I also couldn’t resist to go there again. Their tapas are not only delicious, but also very reasonably priced! In addition to this, though having their hands full, very friendly service complements all the pleasure.

This time, I tried the following goodies:

Squid stuffed fish and shrimp

IMG_4560

Mini monkfish and shrimp burger with caramelized onions

IMG_4562

Pork tenderloin with fried foie

IMG_4563

Foie mi-cuit with watermelon ice cream and lamp lollipop with cheese

However, tapas menu doesn’t end there; version for Spanish speakers and other positions presented visually below:

Apart from tapas, in Méli Mélo you will also find complete dishes, which I haven’t had a chance to try yet, although I want to do it. That’s my plan for the next time! Spontaneous idea for a trip of this kind can, however, be troublesome to implement due to the popularity and the small size of the bar – space with tables is quite limited. However, with a bit of luck or planning ahead, everything is possible! ;)
